That's a quirk from the old DOS days.

In Duke or Shadow Warrior you could enter god mode on a lower skill level, restart the game on the high skill level, and keep god mode.

In my opinion the state of cheats should definitely be saved with the game, but carried over to a new game is definitely a glitch - but it's one I would prefer to be able to have an option to override the cheats lockout if it is fixed.

The state of the automap and "noclip" cheatcode are preserved upon starting a new game or loading a save.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start a new game.
2. Open the automap or open the console and input "noclip".
3. Start a new game or load a save.

Actual results:
You can see the automap or can clip through walls.

Expected results:
Being in normal view mode and not being able to clip through walls.
