It seems that this icon of the defender was always out of bounds, so the patch I'm submitting to fix the misplaced amulet will in addition remove this other item entirely.

The ultimate thing here is, this is not an engine bug but a map bug. If someone wants to fix them, please submit an entry for the compatibility patcher. This is ultra low priority for me.

I forgot to add, I got inspired to file this report after seeing Marisa's about the Amulet of Warding. I had known about both items being misplaced for a long time, but didn't think about reporting it, as I wasn't aware that at least one of them had a different, non-broken placement between versions. I'd like a compat option for the IotD as well if possible.

This is an original map bug.

When playing co-op or as the Mage, in MAP08 (Darkmere) there is an Icon of the Defender that spawns out of bounds close to a well at coordinates (1744,2288).
