The year is 1989. As the drug wars rage on, and the police struggles to stop the bloodshed, and placate it's own corruption, one man joins the game.
War veteran.
Die-hard criminal.
Power thirsty.
Willing to bleed for the American Dream.
Welcome to Miami, Señor Torres.
Raging Bull is a weapons mod inspired by Scarface, Hotline Miami and Hard Boiled, where you play as aspiring kingpin Russell 'Raging Bull' Torres, on his quest to take over the world, and crush anyone who tries to stop him.
Spoiler: Arsenal
Slot 1¹ - Fists
A pair of trusty brass knuckles. Obviously, gold plated.
Quick, powerful swings, enough to knock some teeth out of anyone who thinks you're easy pickin's without a weapon. Slot 1² - Chainsaw
Something to REALLY put the fear in any cockroach who thinks they can step to you.
Slower than the fists, but definitively more powerful. Slot 2¹ - Beretta/Akimbo Berettas
A reliable chrome-plated italian sidearm, that can be paired up for twice the firerate.
Don't fret about ammo conservation, you can hold plenty of bullets.
Holds 15 rounds, plus one in the chamber. Akimbo Berettas hold 30 in total, plus 1 in each chamber.
Slot 2² - Colt Python
Following on the famous cartel tradition, Torres also owns a gold-plated, ivory-gripped handgun.
And a powerful and accurate one at that.
Holds 6 shots, but odds are you might need only 5. Slot 3¹ - SPAS-12
Another fine piece of italian craftsmanship. It's THE shotgun, what else do i need to say?
Holds 8 rounds. Slot 3² - Sawn-Off Shotgun
Two barrels is all you need to take care of a coked-up, bullet-eating drug lord. Lucky for you, you only consume the finest cigars.
Even luckier, said barrels are in your hands, now.
Holds 2 rounds. Slot 4 - MAC-10's
A weapon more american than the Bald Eagle itself. Iconic when paired with another.
Give a man a MAC, and he's Superman, give him two? hell, give him a Vibranium shield, too, while you're at it.
Holds 60 rounds in total, plus 1 in each chamber. Slot 5 - China Lake
A rare prototype that didn't make it to the fields, but somehow, made it's way to the hands of the Cartels.
The China Lake fires at an arc, meaning that at longer distances, you have to aim slightly higher than you usually do to land shots.
Holds 4 rounds in total. Slot 6 - M16/GL
The only friend you need. A nice in-between for the firerate and precision of the PSG and M60,
with a powerful grenade launcher to boot.
Holds 30 rounds, plus 1 in the chamber. Grenade launcher must be manually reloaded. Slot 7 - HK PSG-1
A curious german tool of precision. Perfect for handling any long-distance issues.
Holds 10 rounds, plus 1 in the chamber. Spawns along with the Backpack. Slot 8 - M60
The beast incarnate. A weapon so powerful that it scares anyone who hears it's roar.
Holds 100 rounds of pure carnage.
Spoiler: Drugs (They're prescriptions, you fuckin' cocksucker-)
Black Taurus: Your newest product, and your ace in the hole in the drug wars. Makes you feel like you could tear a man apart with your bare hands. BT fills your Rage meter, boosts your health to 150, and doubles the damage of your melee attacks. Adrenaline Shot: When you live the lifestyle, you gotta have one just in case. Adrenaline shots increase your speed and firerate for 30 seconds. PURGE: In preparation for a potential Cold War's escalation, VST Pharmaceuticals has decided to begin production on a
drug designed to negate the effects of radiation poisoning. Due to added components, it also works as a makeshift painkiller. PURGE halves all damage received, and negates environmental damage. Cigar: There's nothing better than a nice, relaxing smoke in the middle of such chaos and violence. Cigars heal you in increments of 5 up to 200%, but they also reduce your Rage meter by 5%. Jack Bottle: An expensive bottle of the finest whiskey around. 'Jack boosts your health and armor to 200%. Better than fighting sober. VALLHALLA: An experimental combat drug. Very little is known about it's effects, both in long and short term, other than the fact it makes you kill better. VALHALLA boosts your health and armor to 200%, and make you invulnerable for 30 seconds.
Damn, this looks extremely dope! From what I can tell from the video and screenshots, outstanding work to say the least. I love the HUD a lot too. Downloading immediately, and thank you very much.

Okay so I instantly became a fan of this! Great job. I wouldn't mind seeing more, but it plays great as it is already!

Nanobump to fix two things:
-Fixed compatibility issues with mods that use new secret sounds
-Added Automap background:
EDIT: Fixed an issue that caused certain voicelines to not play.

I think the revolver has some issues with custom revenant enemies cuz the pickup is either a small revenant or one of their pain sprites is the revolver sprite. I'm not sure if this happens with all monster packs because I've only tried with Delashin's Smooth Doom Remake monsters and Enhanced Vanilla Project monsters

Right, i was aware there was a problem with the SPAS and the Pain Elementals with Smooth Doom, but not with the Revenant with the Python.
Fixed.

Hate bumping these threads, but i fixed something for both DJ and RB.
The "All Monsters Killed" warning no longer plays on Map 30, and enemies will stop being afraid of you when you're reloading the M60.

Hi! Just wanted to report that I seem to only get 5 ammo from picking up 9mm magazines (though the message says +10)
Since I'm playing on Delta Touch too (S23 Ultra), I seem to be getting a slight performance hitch when using the SPAS-12 and Sawnoff - mostly if my shots miss and hit a wall rather than an enemy, I get noticeable frame skip/delay (not sure how to describe it other than a single frame taking slightly longer, and is worse when missing shots with the Sawnoff - I'd like to say it may be because of the quick but dense particles?)
Amazing mod with a killer presentation and the additional voice acting is a refreshing take (mostly coming from how most voice acting Doom mod wise I'm familiar with is recitals of the Doom comic) - keep it coming!

Added an effects toggle, so you can choose effect density, and made it so the ammo drops aren't affected by skill.
You seem to be getting less ammo because you're picking up drops from monsters, which give you half the ammo you'd usually get.

So you know how you said you'd already found an issue with the Python and the Smooth DooM Revenant?
Well, I've got the same kind of issue with the Python and the Random Deaths & Decorations Revenant pain sprite.
You think it's the same problem, or will this call for a different solution?
