Something I noticed, is every time one of this "explain your avatar" topics comes up, it somehow encourages users to change the avatar just so they can explain it.

Not that I think is something bad or anything, just a bit curious.

Well, I'm pretty sure that they can explain their avatar (unless they suck at English or something).
As for the reason, I've no idea. Maybe people seek attention and want other people to realise the avatar change and comment on it, just so they can get positive comments on said avatars?

Agreed, for example, Zippy. Everytime I notice he has changed avatar, I start to wonder why, because they usually mean something. All Im saying is that overall, I see users changing the avatars more frequently when this threads appear.

I guess I like mine too much, hence why it never changes.
