No pain state = monster vanishes

Post by Graf Zahl »

Yes, it was clearly an omission in the DECORATE lump but I think that a monster that doesn't have a pain state should not attempt to enter it. Instead it vanishes without a trace.

Won't it only do that if it's pain chance is over 0?

Of course. Without a painchance, there is no need for a painstate really....

As I said, it was a bug in the DECORATE lump. But the monster still shouldn't just disappear without warning.

No. They just vanished. Setting an actor to a non-existent state makes it go away.
