[Project] KDiZD - Enhanced Arsenal
After playing KDiZD, I thought it was strange that none of the weapons were altered outside of adding casings and the new, custom ones. So I decided to change the weapons in a way that I thought fit better with the mod! :D What started as a minor skin change soon became a full blown mod. After about a week of work, I've finally finished it. I dub this KDiZD - Enhanced Arsenal.

General Notes:
This mod requires KDiZD to run! It inherits some of its effects, such as the casings and bullet puffs. I make no promises of this running standalone. If there is enough interested, there might be a standalone release. It should work in either ZDoom or GZDoom, as I doubt I used any effects specific to one or the other.
Changes and Credits are located inside of the wad. Please use any resources you like and take this mod apart, with the requirement that you give due credit. I worked hard on this, and I wouldn't appreciate it if someone stole anything without giving credit to me or any of the other authors whose work I've based mine on. I am doing this as a service since most of my work is based on others or unoriginal, and I feel it does no good to lock my mod up, so be responsible. ;)
This release is v0.9 Gamma. While it is mostly finished, there are probably a few bugs lurking about or enhancements I could make. Please post constructive criticism! If you think I could code or change something for the better, please tell me. Do not post stupid stuff like "OMG this sucks!" or "Dude, make the fist shoot rockets!" All such posts will be ignored.
Most of all, have fun! I know I did. :D

The shotgun was in Doom 1. the Super Shotgun wasn't in Doom 1. ID specified that in order for KDIZD to remain legal it has to work in doom 1 only and that resources from doom 2 couldn't be used (basically). so they had made their own for KDIZD.Snarboo wrote:I don't think id would care. the DRDteam forums has hordes of them.
Now, besides that little quarrel, i've noticed a few things I do like and don't;
the pistol's pretty nice. no complaints there.
Shotgun's neat.
Super Shotgun shoots a bit too slow, IMO, and makes it's gain from the shotgun questionable.
Chaingun's fun.
Rocket Launcher...eh...I really never liked the standard sound.
Grenade Launcher lost it's alt-fire! D:

I didn't like the original Grenade Launcher's primary fire. It didn't arc with your aim, while the secondary did. So I removed the primary and swapped it for the secondary. If this bothers people I will bring the primary fire back as the new secondary fire. :)
I was working on custom graphics for the rifle, but they sucked, so I couldn't think of anyway to change it.
I'm half tempted to implement the fake Laser gun you get in...E1M7, I think, as a new weapon for the next release. That should be fun.
