Hello everyone,
I am currently working on a Catalan translation for several classic games and I would like to add proper Catalan support to GZDoom / UZDoom instead of relying on language overrides.
I have noticed that the available languages are defined in the `language.csv` file and I would like to know the recommended way to add a new language entry for Catalan (`ca_ES`).
My questions are:
* Is there an officially preferred method to add a new language?
* Can this be done through a mod or external package, or does it require modifying the engine resources?
* Are there any guidelines regarding locale codes, font support, or language naming conventions?
* Would it be possible to submit Catalan support upstream if the translation becomes complete enough?
My goal is to provide a clean and maintainable Catalan localization for classic Doom-engine games.
Any advice, documentation or examples would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

Re: Catalan translation
For something like this, you would be best to post on the UZDoom GitHub pages: https://github.com/UZDoom/UZDoom/issues
A mechanism for providing translations is already in place, and contributions are welcome. The results will be integrated into the engine distribution packages when they are updated.
