Found out the reason. In my post I was using terminology the forum somehow seemed to think was code while it wasn't and must as such have blocked me.

There has been a problem today. I was struggling to reply to your sound sequence query. Apparently it relates to one of the programs that sit in front of the site to try and prevent scrapers overloading the site. I have reported the issue to Rachael and it should be OK again.
