Among the common woes people have with doom maps, is that enemies behind midtextures of certain windows or bars may be hard to see at some angles. This mod, simply enough, makes any such bars translucent, with configurable opacity.
There are two modes:
- One uses a simple texture whitelist, to translucify all and only lines using a midtexture from a list of bars/grates textures in doom 1/2 and freedoom 1/2.
- The other uses the linedef flags to detect any lines that act like one of these bars/grates midtextures, and translucify them.
The first mode is ideal if you only want bars/grates/windows to be translucent. The second is ideal if you want all lines you can shoot through but not move through to be translucent, or if you're playing something with new custom textures.
