Help with opening myhouse.pk3 in GZDoom (Solved)

Hello, I was trying to play myhouse.wad and was running into a problem that wasn't detailed anywhere. In every version of GZDoom I've tried, when I open the PK3 file like everyone says to do it just opens the GZDoom UI with the four options listed in the screenshot (it is seeing the WADS in my steam install of Doom II). I have tried:
• Dragging the PK3 file onto the gzdoom.exe
• Dragging the PK3 file + Doom2.wad file multi-selected onto the gzdoom.exe
• Setting the default app for opening PK3 files to the version of GZDoom I'm using and then double clicking the PK3 file
I'm not sure why none of this worked, but in order to get it to work I was forced to do the following:

STEPS TO OPEN THE FILE (On Windows 10, but similar may work for other OS)
1. Download GZDoom v4.13.0, extract a location of your choosing
2. In the extracted GZDoom folder, place the doom2.wad file (from your legal install of doom 2) and the PK3 file. They should all be in the same directory as the gzdoom.exe
3. Open Notepad and click File > Save As, then save the file as run_myhouse.bat in the same directory as the rest (in the "Save as type:" drop down select "All Files", then just name the file including the .bat in the "File name:" text box)
4. Paste the following line into Notepad and click save: gzdoom.exe -iwad doom2.wad -file myhouse.pk3
5. Run the .bat by double clicking it. This should launch the game.
