Doomworld sign-in issue

Title.

Bascially I "created" my account through Google and when trying to sign-in through it I get a "Access blocked: This app’s request is invalid" error. I saw a couple other threads on there with the same issue where Mordeth stated in one of them that it's been broken since March. Another user said if you click "Forgot Password" you can recover your account but I never recieve the email to confirm and signing in through normal means claims the password is invalid (same password used to sign-in to Google). Signing in through any of the other options (Discord/Steam/etc) tells me to confirm through Google which I obviously cannot, lol.

I've asked a buddy to PM the admins directly and he got no response as of yet (this was over a month ago). Any way to recover my account?

No joy, claims the password is incorrect (same password as the Google account which was used to "create" the DW account) before it eventually locks me out for too many attempts.

No idea then, i created my account directly long ago entering the email and password.

This issue has been rather consistent and it pains me to see it is still raised from time to time which leads me to believe the underlying issue has not yet been resolved.

I also have it on record that Mordeth has been online mere minutes ago so i have to wager he forgot about the original PM.

What is your old account and accountname? Ill just PM Mordeth myself and link him to this thread and the other DW threads to highlight this issue remains active.

Google, and Microsoft even more so, are terrible providers of protection in the sense that they make it a real PITA for the user to login under the idea that this is safe behavior. We have to deal with similar issues at work and its stupid.
