PoolDooms is my experimental project. I started it after playing Doom E1M1 remade into a poolrooms (in Unity) and I wanted something similar for GZDoom. It was a lot of work, even though it's a very short map. All the rooms were redesigned several times, the lighting was also changed many times, etc.
This wad heavily relies on few mods and Reshade to achieve wanted visual and GZDoom settings is also optimised - even classic status bar mess it, so leave it as it is (or turn off Reshade). Due all of this, i made a whole GZDoom + mods package, not only wad, so you will have everything exactly as was intended.

And some information:
Extract and put doom2.wad to base directory where all files are.
Start PoolDooms with !START POOLDOOMS.BAT
if you have Doom 3 BFG Edition installed, then you have also original Doom and Doom 2 wad, it will be shown in launcher.
Main goal is to find five switches and then find exit. First one should be pretty obvious, one chair is in different position. Others are somewhere else. Look carefuly.
Monsters and resources are present only on Ultra violence and Nightmare difficulties. Resources are very limited and hidden, so use flashlight (F).
Walking speed is reduced to 45% of normal Doomguy speed.
What's included:
Latest GZDoom v4.14.2
Compressed Kurikai HD textures with PBR
New version of liquid texture pack 7.0.1
Flashlight++ v9.1
Tweaked Reshade
Footsteps
Marcelus HD sprites

man, impressive work
i played at my own uzdoom installation, with pixelated textures
even if this is not exactly as was intended, the feeling, the atmosphere, ambient sounds, all is wonderfoul.
things to improve:
-the water steps are too short and they stops abruptly
thinking about this new trend...
it will be amazing you made another pool maps
may be interesting you got some inspiration from Paradise Nowhere game
you know this?

This looks really nice, I'm surprised GZ doom can do water like that
