How to modify player's max health with scripts in slade?

Hello fall guys,
I'm making a fun map modification of Brutal Wolfenstein. The hits-scanning enemies make it way too hard though. I'd like to slightly increase the standard 100 points max health. I've modified the health parameter in misc/PLAYER.txt but this doesn't increase the hp available with normal health pickups.
Can someone suggest me some tips? Thanks in advance!
