Changelogs

Post by randi »

Changelogs now have their own page, so there is no chance of them making normal news items disappear off the bottom of this page. Please keep in mind that the changes described there offer a peek at what is to come in 2.1.0. They do not apply to the latest released version, which is 2.0.97.

Randy, I thank you profusely for making a changelog, if only to shut up the people who claim zdoom is dead. Though I am unable to figure out what most of the changelogs mean, I still like to know that something noteworthy has happened.

Heh, if it is not CVS activity (note for the unbeknown: none in all years), then it's changelogs. Just something to cheer at. :-)

I can't imagine why people would think that. Maybe it's the new people who have come in because of Doom3, and aren't used to this kind of environment. God knows there are more people living on the message boards...

If anything, Randy and the community as a whole have doubled their pace since when I first found ZDoom. It used to be like once a year where you'd either see an actual new release, or somebody came up with a new God-like implementation. Now, there's lots of fun stuff to look at every couple months.
