I'm not sure how else to describe this except a bug with GZDoom involving the Skybox Viewer. Attached is the example wad that can replicate the issue and links to screenshots of what it looks like. Ive tried all kinds of solutions from making the Skybox bigger to replacing the Skybox with a proper texture around the arena but none of them come out in a way that's satisfying to me. The example wad was made with Freedoom2.wad for hopefully maximum compatibility while the screenshots were taken from the actual wad I was making when I spotted the bug but besides texture and missing monsters they are identical and both produce the same bug.

I don't really understand what the issue here is. The submitted map seems to work perfectly from what I can tell, if there's something it's supposed to do differently then I think the problem is how you're setting it up.

Re: Skybox Viewer Rendering bug
I suspect its the dark patch that appears in the sky as you move closer to the entrance structure.
If it doesn't show for you, perhaps it is dependent on settings? However, I know from experience that these kind of setups and editing trcks have always been problematic, right from the original game release.

Yea this is the bug. I gathered from the first post this may have been a client side issue but no matter what settings I have they either still appear or I'm in software rendering. This may be something I just have to live with if thats the case.Enjay wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 5:59 am I suspect its the dark patch that appears in the sky as you move closer to the entrance structure.
