Contrary to popular belief, we are not all-knowing-all-seeing magical beings!

If you want help you're going to have to provide lots of info. Like what is your hardware, what is your operating system, what version of GZDoom/LZDoom/whatever you're using, what mods you're loading, how you're loading it, what you've already tried for fixing the problem, and anything else that is even remotely relevant to the problem.

We can't magically figure out what it is if you're going to be vague, and if we feel like you're just wasting our time with guessing games we will act like that's what you're really doing and won't help you.

Graphical & Stability Issues with Vsync

Post by Artbor »

Hello. I've been having issues with Vsync.
Namely, the HUD, UI, and sprite graphics will all look glitchy (as if some pixels are misaligned). This will also cause instability wherein my game will become unresponsive and subsequently crash if I alt tab for longer than a couple of seconds.
I recently updated my GPU drivers (nvidia recently put out a substantial update), however I'm not sure if this is relevant or not as I can't recall if I had vsync enabled before the driver update.
Spoiler: HUD & Sprite graphics, and UI graphics respectively
This is on Windows 10, RTX 3060TI, GZDoom version 4.14.0a, Vulkan rendering. Tested on Doom 2 with no additional mods/wads and with a fresh config file (I disabled texture filtering, otherwise the graphical issues don't appear)

I see this issue in not Z-Doom related stuff. It seems 572.16 has some issues with OpenGL and VSYNC
