LIQUID ASSETS - Standalone GZDoom Game

Post by Stormhall »

Hello everyone, a friend and I have spent the past year working on this short but sweet standalone GZDoom engine game and would like to present it as follows:

You play as a surviving employee from a devastating company mishap, that has resulted in the other employees turning into horrific gooey monsters.

The product has gone rogue! Recall it now! You don't want to lose your job do you?

Default Controls:

W, A, S ,D - Forward, Back, Left, Right

C, X - Crouch (Hold) and Crouch (Toggle)

E - Use

F - Kick

G - Grenade

Disclaimer: Contains cartoon violence and swearing

We would like to thank the Doom community especially the Doomworld and Zdoom forums and Zdoom Wiki for the boundless resources referred to complete this small project.

It is a standalone game so once extracted you just need to navigate to the liquidassets.exe and run the file.

Available to download on itch.io now: https://bubble-sludge-industries.itch.io/liquid-assets

I haven't got that far into it, but it seems to be working very nicely. It has a good old-school vibe. It kind of reminds me a bit of shooters like Operation Body Count - but obviously quite different too.

Thank you for giving it a go! I hope you found it fun! I have yet to play Operation Body Count but I definitely see the resemblance. We were definitely aiming for a PS1 era game with the art style, a lot of reference from Half-Life was analysed especially in regards to textures. Please keep a look out on future projects by us as we are working on a new game for the Quake engine and close to finishing the final polish on a multiplayer Doom mod. If you have any feedback about Liquid Assets and your play experience, please let us know as we are open to constructive criticism and new ideas for us to work on in future projects.
