I was playing daedalus for a while and was really liking it. Then I got to the engine room. I played for about 2-3 minutes and zdoom froze my whole pc. I restarted it by pressing the power button (which only works if something bad happened). I thought no way it's happening again, but I was wrong. Here is the save state. P4 Win XP SP2, GeForce4, 768 MB RAM.

The same thing is happening to me. When I return to Engineering, coming form the kicking after getting the yellow pass-card form that Hellnight, the game...no, my computer completely freezes up. This never happened with the previous version of ZDoom. Speaking of which, which CAB file has the previous version of ZDoom?

Looks like you'll just have to revert to 2.0.63a for now. By the way, justin024, how did you acquire that avatar?

If you mean the goldeneye monitor, i ripped it from the rom. I have a few gfx from goldeneye i plan on using. Any n64 gfx can be ripped fairly easy. Sometimes they are not the same color as when you see them in the game. The monitor was b&w originally.

Can you give specific directions for what to do with that save if I want to replicate the problem? I tried walking around for a while and never had any difficulties.

**Whoops**
I think I had a link to the wrong save file. This is the save from the last point in time i played daedalus: An autosave at the start of the engine room

I turned on god mode and ran around shooting things non-stop with that save. No lockups.
Are you sure the problem is ZDoom? It should not have the power to bring your whole machine to a stand-still, since it isn't a device driver. Try playing in a window. When it freezes, can you alt-tab to something else or ctrl-alt-del to the task manager?

I loaded the game, turned god mode on, and nothing happened. I wondered if maybe it wasn't going to happen again. I reloaded the game, used "give health 100", and within 3 minutes, my pc had rebooted itself. I tried it about 5 times afterwards and it didn't happen again.

I would have to obtain the rom first. All you need is project 64, the rom, rice's video plugin, and a pc good enough to run a n64 emulator. The way it dumps the gfx is strange, like if you don't look at it in the game, it won't be dumped. It also produces a lot of crap, so i would have to delete about 9000 (seriously) bunk textures and it would be too time consuming.

What about "Enjay's line"?

(Geez that was a long time ago

, it still happens BTW. I haven't tested with the FP release though.)

This is over a year old, so I'm closing it.
