  • Is the resource ENTIRELY my own work?
  • If no to the previous one, do I have permission from the original author?
  • If no to the previous one, did I put a reasonable amount of work into the resource myself, such that the changes are noticeably different from the source that I could take credit for them?
If you answered no to all three, maybe you should consider taking your stuff somewhere other than the Resources forum.

[minimod] The Legacy Lighting Menu Mod

Does what it says on the tin.

Features:
1. Configure the old light modes in a user friendly fashion (descriptions for each light mode, and much better names for them)
2. Save the above. Not possible due to a ZDoom-ism, aka being unable to forcefully archive a stock CVAR, how pointless can archivecvar be?
3. Configure the new light modes on the same page.

This is useful if:
1. You're playing an old map which doesn't use the MAPINFO feature but needs an old light mode to look good.
2. You're a map maker who wants to decide which light mode you want to use.
3. You just want to use the old light modes for some reason.

Yes, I know Major Cooke's mod exists, but I believe mine is more user friendly.

This doesn't work, you cannot force-archive a stock CVAR.

I thought that was what archivecvar was for.

Anyways, an update will come out that fixes some rather stupid stuff.

2023-Oct-28: That update is now out. It took 15 minutes to make, and days to come out because I forgot. Check the OP. As always with my mods, old versions are in the ARCHIVE folder.
