'Save current settings' does not actually save current settings.
I personally dislike playing with autoaim on, and would love to be able to turn it off. However, there is no way to do that aside from switching that option manually off every time I run GZDoom. I assumed that 'save current settings' button will save current settings... but it does not actually do that.

Which settings menu are you finding that in? If it's under "Gameplay Options," those settings are non-permanent by design, like deathmatch flags and rules. If you want to turn off autoaim, always and forever, check in Player Setup for a slider that you can drop down to zero.

Or set autoaim in the console to 0. 35 means always.

Re: 'Save current settings' does not actually save current settings.
Okay, this helps with autoaim (and it does save), so thanks everyone for that. But not all other non-gameplay settings save too. Im trying to set resolution to 1920 by 1080 fullscreen, and it doesn't save when I quit GZDoom (it reverts to 640x400 which is a resolution I set once like a week ago and now can't get rid of). Controls do however save correctly when changed.
EDIT: I had to manually find the GZdoom.ini and change it, and that for some reason saved. For the record glitch still persists, if I change it now it still doesn't save, but at least editing the ini directly is a workaround.

Thank you for the feedback; seeing as how this issue was already resolved beforehand (though the fix is thus unreleased) I am closing this as a duplicate.
