I've played with dawnbreez's bulletz mod, and while I like the idea, I thought it could look much better.

So I've managed to implement denisbelmondo's bullet tracers to it, alongside some other neat effects to go with it.



There might be some issues with it, like melee weapons firing the bullets and occasional crashes, but for the most part, it works just fine!

if a hitscan weapon/monster doesn't get changed, its pretty simple to implement
all you need to do is add a new puff replacer that replaces any nonstandard bullet puffs and extends from BulletZPuff.

Game crashes immediately on attempt to use any weapon. GZDoom 4.10.0.

UPDATE!

-Fixed an oversight that caused the game to crash on "fresh" installs of GZDoom, whoops... :lol:

have you found a solution for melee firing tracers?
or is that in very specific edge cases??

While you're at it, you may want to do away with the extra menudef lump, as well as unnecessary sound definitions. Looks like there's quite a bit of carryover from Scalliano's Shuffle.

Can this be made compatible with DoomRL Monsters/Arsenal?
This mod somewhat works with DoomRL Arsenal (after editing decorate.hacks), but crashes when a hitscan monster shoots me. Probably should also mention I'm playing DoomRPG SE Rebalance.

Any fix to melee weapons bug yet? Also, the mod breaks monster infighting.
