Need help with imgur

I need some help with the imgur embedding: I post an image to imgur, copy the link, paste it between the imgur bracket tags and remove the "a/", but when I preview the message, instead of showing the image, it says "This image doesn't exist or is no longer available." What am I doing wrong? Do I need to change a setting on the imgur site?
