I was browsing through Wad-Archive.com looking for some maps to play when I stumbled upon a Wad simply called dintop, dintop_v13b2.wad to be precise.
The screenshots looked interesting and after downloading the wad I found an interesting set of maps with some really good texture work and complex layouts.
Dintop does something that I often really like which is starting the next map right after the last one ended, but it also goes a step further by making you backtrack through locations that resemble environments from previous maps.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing Dintop and so I was very surprised when I couldn't find the name of the author, nor a gameplay on youtube, and not even a mention on any doom forum.
Does anyone know who made this wad?

I can not find the author of this wad, can anyone help?

Hello,
I would have responded sooner had I known about this. I was just shown this post today when someone else was inquiring about my maps in Discord. I am the author of the maps. dintop_v13b2 is a test version that isn't exactly operational, but dintop_v13b is my last installment and can be found on TSPG in the wads list. It was all originally made in Doom format, but I had converted it to UDMF format using a converter that did not translate the maps entirely well so I have to spend some time changing some stuff to make it all work right. I was in the process of making more maps but then my HDD on my old PC failed and all the data was unrecoverable. This happened in 2018. Ever since then, I have had so much stuff in life get in the way to the point where I was just burnt out in general. I have attempted to make more maps since, but I always find the scope of my maps to be too much with the little time I have either doing working or school. Maybe within the next year or so I will have another map available because I have maybe 5 WIPs that are all very large and interesting, just none are even close to being done. I am doing a lot of schooling right now for IT certifications at the moment so no promises, but I still have a lot of plans for DINTOP. I was thinking of learning to make a game in a modern game engine and just make the mapset a game of its own since classic Doom is losing more and more players I feel like. So many ideas, though, with such little time.
A little side note, DINTOP itself was a WIP so there are a few things I intended to patch up but never got around to, so take that with what you will. Overall it is still very playable and the little things that need fixing are almost unknown to anyone who doesn't have intimate knowledge of the map making. I have a version for UDMF format I was working on to make the first several maps more detailed to match the later maps, since the first 3 maps used to be 1 map and was the first map I ever made. Anyways, I hope you get to play the mapset again and hopefully I answered or can answer any questions you might have.
