I'm going to attach the save file and two videos. If you walk forward from where you stand in the save, you can:
a) drop down normally
b) turn on the jetpack approx midway to the bottom of the fall, to prevent the fall damage.
If you drop down normally, everything is okay. If you turn on the jetpack, there is a significant chance that there's not gonna be the opening in the wall at the end of the fall, see the videos. And it's not just a visual glitch: you really can't get out other than by flying back up.

That elevator shaft is a teleporter to another similar looking area, looks like you can break it by flying up just at the right point.
