WadExt 2.0 released

After far too long, a new version of the WadExt tool is available.

New features and bug fixes are:

  • extract to a subdirectory, named like the file to be extracted.
  • fixed handling of IMGZ image extraction.
  • when extracting multiple files with the same name, put the counter in the extension to avoid breaking base names.
  • added extraction of Build GRP files.

Does not work for any of the iwads and pwads I tried - like doom.wad and doom2.wad. WadExt 1.0 works fine.

"doom2.wad: not a WAD file" happens. This is an unmodified doom2.wad with the CRC given on DoomWiki.

Just saw that somebody created an issue on Github about a month ago: https://github.com/coelckers/wadext/issues/16

The exe taken from the 2.0 zip file also identifies as "WadExt v1.1 (c) 2016 Christoph Oelckers". Maybe you uploaded the wrong release?
