Saved game is written to wrong slot

Postby _mental_ » Sat Apr 24, 2021 6:13 am

Since this change, a saved game is written to the next slot (if it exists) instead of selected one.
While FSavegameManagerBase::RemoveNewSaveNode() is needed for Raze, this call is wrong for GZDoom.

The ghosts of the past keep haunting us. This is all a remnant of that ancient ZDoom savegame code that did this awful hackery and never properly kept track of the offsets.
The implementation is utter shit and needs to be completely redone, for now I think just removing that line again should do. If I refactor this code I'll do it for both engines at the same time.

I didn’t do it myself because the next backend code sync will most likely add this line again.
