[Shadow Warrior] Minimized/fixed Wanton Destruction
Posted: Wed Apr 21, 2021 8:47 am
The original "Wanton Destruction" groupfile (wt.grp, 46 MB) does not only contain addon data, but also everything else from sw.grp, bloating filesize needlessly. There is a smaller, more recent re-release available by ProAsm (wantdest.grp, 9 MB), but it also still contains a lot of trash data which Raze does not need and partially even ignores explicitly.
I have made a third version which uses max zipfile compression and only contains what's absolutely necessary to run the addon with Raze, shrinking it to merely 3 MB.
*UPDATE Apr 22, 2021*
Implemented SCPM's three fixed maps (5/7/10 - $outpost, $plax1, $volcano) with miniboss/final boss not spawning on the lower difficulties, two minibosses/one anime girl not available on the last map in the first two difficulties and a secret not being accessible.
Download (zip, 3 MB)
Installation:
- Unzip wanton.grp and wanton.grpinfo* to the Raze subdir which contains sw.grp.
- Launch Raze and select "Shadow Warrior: Wanton Destruction (wanton)" from the bottom of the groupfile selection list.
* Using the included grpinfo is essential since the groupfile itself does not contain any info about what it is or how the maps should be named ingame.
