Just a simple mod file I made that applies Heretic style liquid physics to all the liquid floor tiles in DOOM/DOOM2. I also included support for the extra liquid tile in the current version of Freedoom (SWATER1-4) as well as the liquid tiles in Eviternity.

Its simple and to the point. Just include it in your mod load list and you're good to go. Should be compatible with almost any other DOOM mod. Obviously it won't add liquid effects to custom liquid tiles (unless they overwrite the default tiles).

The splash sprites are in DOOM lmp style art format, so they will automatically conform to custom palettes.

EDIT: Just in case the topic comes up if anyone wishes to expand on this mod by adding support for other mods with custom liquid textures go right ahead. I don't mind treating it as a public domain project. Just don't remove any existing content.

Made two quick fixes to the mod and reuploaded it:

- FIxed the sound for the icy water in Eviternity to use the water splash sound rather than the less fitting slime 'gloop' sound.

- Fixed the bootup warnings messages that appear in the console if you don't have Freedoom or Eviternity. Those custom flats are now tagged as optional so the warning should not appear anymore.

ah, yes, another mod to add to my useless autoloads to fix small nitpicks. one that would go good with droplets and smooth doom, for sure. overall neat little addon, makes the inch-thick water problem go away!

Great aesthetic addon. Nice work.
Do you know how to make corpses floar on the liquids? You know, as DOOM Retro does?
Only fallen monsters though, as weapons an items are perfect the way they are.
