Hi again,
some few days ago, I posted my first project here at this forum and encouraged by good reviews, I wanted to make something quick, to play a bit with some lights and 3D floors. I wanted to make somethin I wanted to make in the beginning, but couldn't. And because I love Unreal Tournament 99, I decided to remake one of the maps. And here it is!
The map is I think ready for primetime, but I can't really test it out much, as I have no one to play it with. But I tested it with two computers and it definitely works fine.
Since I am unable to get UT99 running on the latest Win 10 release, I made the entire map from YouTube videos. The map is pretty much exact copy though, down to the secret area. Some changes had to be made though:
- health vials now give 5Hp instead of 1HP, to mimic UT vials
- two areas, where you had to perform a rocket/hammer jump in UT in order to get to the goodies, have been change to stacked boxes to climb. The change is subtle, but jumping needs to be allowed in the map to scale them. I could potentially make a version that deals with disabled jumping
I know of no bugs, just one imperfection: in order to open the secret, you have to hit it with a rocket, like in UT. In rare cases it might not open. I can't seem to get the script right. I know what causes it, but dunno how to fix it. I bet it's something stupid though.
Requires GZDoom to work right. Made for 2-3 players.

lol, found that stalwart.wad in k8vavoom can be run as iwad using the command: k8vavoom.exe -iwad stalwart.wad
This is of course without weapons and without actors, but it's funny. Weapons, pickup and actors can be added separately. And even play deathmatch with bots with ww_diaz3.
