Where to get sounds?
I'm making a mod and I've started to get the hang of coding and making sprites and all that, but where do people usually get sounds from? Like gunfire etc. Is there some website or resource for this? As it seems a lot of mods have really good sounds and I'm not sure where to find them.
Re: Where to get sounds?
using tools to extract sound files from other games
the resources subforum has some of these extracted sound libraries (personal recommendation)
free online sound libraries
and then mixing a bunch of these sounds together to make something (techincally not) entirely new

freesound.org is one of the best places for royalty-free sound effects. Other than that, see comet1337's post above.

opengameart.org
You can also do a search on Youtube for whatever you need, there are many free sound effects too. You just have to convert them to wav with any online Youtube converter.
