upon using the alt fire of the "deathhead" the game crashes showing an access violation

It crashes with software true colors renderers only because
Canvas is null.

Since I only got doom a few days ago i have no idea what that means, but I won't use true colors on modded games anymore (i should be focusing on the mods anyway) .
