Is there a MD3 Decompiler?

Post by Josko »

Hi!

I need a MD3 Decompiler, but I have searched all over the internet and there seem to be no decompiler for MD3 :/

Im editing a MD3 weapon for GZDoom and when I'm trying to save it as MD3, it wants a .qc file, and I suspect the .gc file is inside that MD3 which I cannot open...

I'm using Milkshape 3D 1.8.5

No, the qc file is not inside the MD3. It is a seperate file. You can create one with Milkshape: Tools -> Quake III Arena -> Generate Control File.

You might also want to try Maveric Model 3D. It can save MD3 files without the need for qc files. What's more, it can read Milkshape files so you can save any work that you did in Milkshape, open it in Maveric and save it as a MD3.
