Gameplay mod to go along with EPIC 2 (https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/level ... wads/epic2), one my favourite megawads. This mod takes the concept of Ancient Egypt vs 20th century and goes all out with new weapons, items, power-ups, enemies, textures, gameplay mechanics, etc. Practically turning it into a total conversion. Set around the 1930's, it features a large diverse arsenal starting with conventional weaponry (guns, explosives, etc.) and later more otherwordly counterparts (magical weapons) and time/theme appropiate enemies and monsters for you to fight along the way. Will also have lots of new decorational items, ambience sound effects and visual special effects to furhter immerse you into the world, all while without any edits done to the original levels. Taking a great deal of inspiration from Powerslave/Exhumed, Blood, Tomb Raider, Killing Time, Indiana Jones and The Mummy. And DOOM, of course.

Screenshots look great CeeJay. It's always good to see you creating new content for 3DGE. Now, judging by the screenshots. since you're already using textures and even some weapons from Powerslave/Exhumed, why don't you grab a few thematic monsters like the Anubis warrior and the Mummy?
I did use the Powerslave enemies at the early stages of development, but I had to scrap the whole idea (shame since some of them used a lot of cool effects). Not only did they look bad and out-of-place in-game but they didn't animate very well (some were just awful). Besides, there is nowhere near as many enemies in Powerslave as there are in DOOM 2.
Seeing resources from both Blood and Powerslave reminded me of Killing Time, which I see as a hybrid of the two in some ways. Maybe some resources from that would also be of use to you?

I'm already using one or two things from KT mostly sound effects, the enemies however aren't really suitable.
I'm always strong when CJ drops some fire 3DGE mods to play with Very excellent HUD elements as well! I've never finished EPIC 1/2 but enjoy the hell out of some Eternal. Perhaps I can map some expansions for this?
I'm very hyped for this because, when i didn't knew nothing about modding, my first project was exactly like this: the junction of blood, powerslave and other game elements i liked. Please don't give this one up.
EDIT: Hope you understand what i mean. I'm not saying this is inexperienced. It actually is like a dream coming true!
Don't worry, this one will get released in one form or another. I just can't say when. I need to fill out the enemy roster, at the very least all the hi-tech ones need to be replaced.
