When i first played Doom 2 and see the revenant, the mancubus, the arachnotron, the cyberdemon and the spidermastermind,
I was thinking, why they have mechanical parts, the uac was making experiments woth they, the hell have they own technology, the demons stole uac technology?

A sweet point of doom lore is that most of it is open ended to the ideas of the players, but the official story afaik is that the UAC was weaponizing demons.

While I don't think it's mentioned in the official text the Doom Wiki has an interpretation that the cybernetic demons were made with tech taken from Deimos when they teleported it into hell. Of course the spider mastermind is implied to have existed before, planning the invasion. I guess it is possible they were just the Mastermind at that point, and the spider came later.
