What are these people doing that gets them banned? How do I make sure I don't get banned ? Is this just an attitude thing?

Just read the Rules and make sure you're not being a jerk to people, and you'll be fine.

Also we recently had a kid using brute-force to take over accounts with weak passwords, who managed to take control of many old "disposable" accounts (created by someone who wanted to report one bug, or ask one question, then left) and got them banned as he was found out.

Basically, unless you start insulting everyone including moderators, you'll be fine.

The picture in that thread is the greatest picture I've ever seen. Every moderator should get their own that they can post when they ban someone.

That guy even got the fastest, second, forever ban after his first timed ban ended.

I missed those lovey pictures. :p

My faith in humanity just diminished a little. I'd ask myself what that guy thought was going to happen when he did that, but he probably did it by intent for some strange reason. (?)

In the comments of his youtube videos he claims he got his account hijacked. Considering how a certain guy with the exact same profile picture and occupation etc. fields got banned a while prior to that, I'm more inclined to believe the cause is an actual mental health issue.

Considering he has exactly one IP address on file, the same one his account was registered from, I'd wager he's just an attention seeking moron.

(Edit) Oh, and no other accounts live at that IP either.

Huh, really thought they were the same guy.
I struggle to understand why someone with a promising project like that would throw it all away by deliberately acting like an a-hole without any sort of provocation.

Part of me is wondering if the recent IP hijacker was Funktasm/skaarjman but I'm guessing it wasn't.

No, it wasn't. And if it was, it doesn't matter that much anyway.

Last thing we need to do is keep bringing him up.

Nah, maybe he just tired with frustrations/in bad moons of Real-Life(TM) or completed goes crazy for some reasons, but who knows...maybe his Linux-hateages triggered the deep evil in his mind...
(Read his post history, and seems just suddenly, he said he hates Linux and then shitfest goes...without any of signs...)

And sadly we can't help him since he just went to the extreme way to destroyed himself. :3:
