Do you think the Wii U could have ran the new Doom?

I saw a topic on some random forum asking if the Gamecube could have ran Doom 3 had a port existed, And I was kinda wondering a similar question regarding the newest entry in the series. Would it be watered down? Would it have to be completely gutted?

If it were exclusive, do you think it could possibly have done something for the system? Again, Just me being curious as always.

Judging by how it struggles to run on XBox One at 1080p and 60FPS, I highly doubt Wii U could have run it. Wii U, while a great system, has a very weak CPU, weaker than XBox 360 and PS3, and slightly outputs more performance in the GPU department.

GPU-wise, here's a comparison:

PS4 outputs 1.8 TFLOPS
XBox One outputs 1.2 TFLOPS
Wii U outputs 344 GFLOPS (that is, 0.344 TFLOPS)

This means the Wii U has 1/5 of PS4's total GPU power output, meaning that there's no way in hell Wii U could run Doom 2016, unless it was scaled back down to id Tech 5 with low quality textures and rendered in 720p or lower.

also, i saw the Wii-U had a really low amount of RAM, too. doesn't the game require 8 of it minimum?

I imagine it could if they dedicated enough work to it. If they can get the original Doom onto the 32X (and SNES with the SuperFX chip) and GBA, I imagine the new Doom could work on the Wii U if enough stuff was toned down.

No.
I think it would run on the NX fine, if they made optimizations to the code...
