Best compression program/settings for DooM stuff?

I like to keep my DooM collection just under a DVD's worth of stuff, but with all the great mods lately, my collection is just getting to be too big. I'm currently using 7zip with standard ultra compression settings, and it has served me well. However, is there a better program or settings I can use? Thanks!

Sometimes rezipping a pk3/"pk7" with 0% compression and then taking it compressed into a 7zip with the whole archive can be beneficial for a smaller filesize, as well as quicker loading when you play it (after extracting the 0% compressed thing).
