Any programs for converting MUS to MIDI under Windows 8?

Are there any programs for converting MUS to MIDI under Windows 8? I'm going through a bunch of music from DooM wads, but Windows 8 can't run the old mus2midi program. There seems to be nothing online, except files that need compiling, with no help on how to do that. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

SLADE3 can convert MUS to MIDI, but not the other way around I think.

Thanks, but unfortunately, I've had trouble getting SLADE3 to even run.

EDIT: Son of a Beeswax! I've just tried running SLADE again and it's working!! Dunno how. I'll update here if I get the conversion to work. Thanks!

Maybe you didn't have VC++ 2013 runtime installed, it happened to me (if you use Slade installer, it's fine, but I didn't.)

The runtime package had crashed, and I got tired of downloading individual dlls. Maybe some magic happened between the two, I dunno. But heck, at least it works now.
