I've never understood why people bitch and moan about a game being delayed. Sure it's a minor inconvenience to the people anxious to play the game but in the end run is it not worth it? People bitch and moan if a game is rushed out the door and full of bugs & other nasties, yet people bitch and moan if devs spend extra time to fix said bugs and nasties and just polish the game in general.

Besides, it's just a game :? :|

This game serves as a cautionary tale of crowd-funding, over-promising, and trust towards industry veterans.

I once saw a boss fight in this game.
I could not help but think to myself "that looks bad, it's time to stop".

I still think Capcom did the right thing cancelling the MML3 experiment. It was a mess of donothings and idea lists. All that fan vitriol from the aftermath went into funding "omg The True New Negaman With Ifanune" game

Tough that MML 3 gameplay footage looked promising.

I was okay with them cancelling MML3... very disappointed, but okay.
I was not okay with their bullshit non-reason as to WHY they cancelled it.

This is a rather late bump and I know this is rather late to the party but... The game is out.

...And things aren't looking to well.

I'm just amazed at the recommended specs for running it.

The funniest thing about the outrage to me is that Might No 9 basically is a modern Mega Man game. It's very comparable to the later X games or Mega Man 8 and Rockman & Forte, especially in terms of quality. I have to wonder if the people who funded this actually played any of the games past Mega Man 6.

- A well known person leaves a company.
- Promises something big.
- This big thing ends up being delayed a lot.
- It has questionable advertising.
- When it finally comes out it doesn't meet its expectations.

Does it sound familiar?

I will say is more like a megaman 1 trying hard to be megaman X, even the way the powers are change is like on mm1 there is no quick switch and instead add the walljump they add the hanging and the new zero aka Ray is a mix of zero and ciel from mmz4 ¬¬ so yeah no great game to be honest.

Was Romero planning an anime, a spinoff series and sequels before Daikatana came out, though?

A sequel to Daikatana was definitely planned, the leftovers of which became Rune IIRC. It wouldn't shock me if more was planned to go along with it.
