*EDIT - a few verrrry special people have chosen to totally derail this thread, could a mod please lock it?
icon chosen for being fitting; when you think of arch-viles, in the context of an entity in this force of demons, how do they strike you? i feel like they're almost political commissars to hell (99% because of their stigmata, revival ability and rather... special attack form.)
it is a bit of a completely random topic... it came to mind and i actually wonder it in my free time.
arch-vile thread (lock this, PLEASE)

Re: arch-vile thread
They are even harder for me to fight than a cyberdemon, if that's even possible! Partially because they always seem to be put in tight spaces with nowhere for you to run, at least not without getting half your life knocked off first. Definitely the most challenging enemy in the game for me, but one of the most satisfying to watch die!

Re: Arch-vile
Having played Doom for over 5 years, I can say that the Arch-Vile is the meanest son of a bitch I've ever faced. He undoes my work by resurrecting every monster he finds, his flame attack has an extreme range and can pass through walls and kill me in one-hit, and he takes too much damage to kill. And he's not even a boss character!

Re: arch-vile thread
oh, the maps that throw you into miniboss frays, where you find yourself killing a single arachnotron 11 times thanks to 1 arch-vile...

Don't worry, you're doing way better than the archvile at annoying people.Redfox123 wrote:i have to say one thing about archviles

Re: arch-vile thread
Yeah because I'm sure we needed another nondescript thread about a topic that can't really be discussed more than it already has. That's epic and cool, right?

Re: arch-vile thread (lock this, PLEASE)
I'm locking this not necessarily because someone got upset at being criticized, but because I feel like if you guys aren't interested in these threads, you don't need to reply to them. Feel free to start threads of your own and reply to those. Don't just pick and jab at the younger/newer users just because they're breaking some unwritten rules of etiquette. This is a hell of a way to make new users feel welcome and comfortable.
Though I suppose I should also mention that you probably shouldn't be posting "just to be posting," but this is honestly a borderline case.
