ww's diaz mod
TO WILDWEASEL: i know you don't touch diaz, ever, but, is it purely out lack of interest or just lack of resources? because that archvile replacement with the crusader spriteset crashes the game, and, honestly, considering i love this mod to death, if i get to spriting again, i'd happily get some guns out just to see a new release

If the assault mecha's crashing the game, that's either a sudden new bug with ZDoom or (more likely) I was being an idiot and using glitchy code that should never have worked in the first place. Either way, Diaz lives at github now (by Ed the Bat's request), though I should tell you that no significant changes have been made to the game since like 4 years ago...and I'm unlikely to pick it up soon, because I've been really tired of working on my Doom projects lately.|ndußtrial wrote:TO WILDWEASEL: i know you don't touch diaz, ever, but, is it purely out lack of interest or just lack of resources? because that archvile replacement with the crusader spriteset crashes the game, and, honestly, considering i love this mod to death, if i get to spriting again, i'd happily get some guns out just to see a new release

Nah, it's not really that. I just haven't felt like trying to live up to my own standards. I'm stuck between being tired of manually hashing out Offsets and Textures entries, and being mostly unwilling to learn any other way to handle it (Danimator is awesome but it involves a huge change to my workflow, learning a new program, etc etc). And I really don't want to just throw together something I don't think is as good as my previous work.Project Dark Fox wrote:A vacation from moderation in order?

I'd LOVE a new version of Diaz, but even if the latest is the last, it's still a damn good wad. I've used it more times than I can count. I just wish I had the patience and skill that many of you have to update what I previously had help with/worked on.
