at what speed does an object produce a sonic boom? is it relative to dimensions or any other properties of the object? i know that the characteristics of the surrounding air will affect this as well, it's the influence of the object itself and the actual speed that i'm unsure about
while this could be useful for projects, i also wish to make sure that anything i mess with doesn't get people thinking that a new gang's in town, hence the post in this section
