For 22 years, id Software has thrown wave after wave of hellish creatures at us, for us to fight off. Now, you can repay them the favor. Collect the Demonic Essence from your fallen enemies and harness it to summon the very same creatures you were tasked to fight as your familiars, and fight by your side... Or throw a huge party

Built for ZDoom/GZDoom

Known issues:
-Killing a Spectre gives the player a regular Pinky essence (This is intended. Since monsters ignore seeing familiars anyways, an invisible one would be pointless)
-Familiars pick up items, and they aren't given to the player (Not intended, don't know how to fix it)

I really only did the coding, not the sprites or sounds, so perhaps I should have some

-IDFA/IDKFA doesn't give the player Doom II-only monsters (This is intended. This was done to prevent potential crashes when playing Doom/Ultimate Doom)
Spawning a monster from another game will not crash. The only thing that will happen is that the monster will not be spawned or will be invisible.
(G)ZDoom *always* loads all actors from all IWADs. (Or rather, it always loads all actors defined in (g)zdoom.pk3, which includes the IWAD actors.) You could spawn the Heresiarch in Doom and all that would happen is that he would be invisible.

Eh, whatever. It's not like it's hurting anything. I'll probably go back and fix it later, but mostly all I've done in the last 24 hours is code and play that thing, and fix Chubbs' Call of Dooty II... It's about time I closed Slade for the day. Thanks for the info, though.
