If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

So, it's basically Call Of Duty: Skynet?

Not particularly interested. Haven't played a single one since the first Black Ops and I'm not convinced I'm missing anything at all.

Grass grows, sun shines, birds fly, and Madden and CoD get more installments. News at eleven.

I maintain that the first Modern Warfare was a good game.

Everything since then...Not so much. Although I like that this and Advanced Warfare made an attempt to get back to bouncy, arena-style shooters.

Personally, I was of the impression that notion was universally accepted. I'd still rather go back and play CoD4 than anything that's came since. And that game came out at the height of the Brown Age™.

Awesome. Something else to not spend my money on. :v

This coupled with the mod monetization clusterfuck with Steam and Zenimax means I'm gonna have a larger disposable income with all the money I'm saving. :D

I just like to give credit where credit is due, and sometimes some people don't cut MW1 enough slack.

Only improvement I could make to it was co-op. Shame that only came with later installments.

That's the entire point of this new development schedule they have now; Sledgehammer, Treyarch and Infinity Ward have a round-robin setup so that no one developer is making all the games all the time, and they can put games out more frequently at the same time. ...It also means that only one out of every three is made by a developer that has thoroughly disappeared up its own ass following the success and excess of the MW series.

YEAHHH! It's comin'! The new Call of Duty Black Ops, finally!!! ZOMG I can't wait to play it, this iz gonna be sooooo kewl, awsum, I'm gonna buy da special editionz too...

Meh, who am I trying to fool. Another umpteenth Call of Vérpistike clone, with slightly better graphics for the hardware lobby. Let me guess what we'll get this time.
- 2 hours of mind-bogglingly, nail-chewingly intense action of shooting enemy soldiers with run-of-the-mill weapons
- Story? What's that, really? Oh yea...you mean, "go there and kill things"? There is your story. Now go there and kill things!
- Events scripted up to the eyeballs
- "Press any key to win" difficulty
- Tons of noobs and cheaters online

Bleh. I'm off to play some Tyrian 2000. See you at Savara! :)

I, at the very least, give each CoD a try to see if it's worth picking up.

Treyarch's are the only decent ones in my opinion (at least since IW lost the plot after CoD4), and I expect you could do far worse than pick this one up when it gets released.
