Send 'em my blessings. Can't exactly tell them to get well soon, but I do hope they turn out alright.

I had an aunt who passed away from skin cancer, I was really young back then. She had two kids, my cousins, but she was widowed. It happened very suddenly, I still remember seeing her alive and well a week prior.

Its is really hard for me to say this my first grandfather was really close to me. He was 90 years old.

When me and my mom and dad came back from a car show my mom got a call from her sister and said that my grandfather is in the hospital something was wrong.
Then me and my mom went down to see him and went we got there late at night he wasn't looking very good and my grandmother said that they just found cancer on his pancreas and that wasn't a good sign.
The next day we went back to the hospital my mom, me ,my aunt, my cousin, and my grandma we were all standing around his bed and the doctor told us that my grandfather only had 5 hours to live and had to put him to sleep cause there's nothing they could have done. I took his hand and told him that loved him and then I went out to the hall way to the sitting area and my mom came in and said that he was gone. :( .

At that same time it was rain storm outside and it wasn't just storming at the hospital it was raining when the family was coming up.

He pasted away on September 1 2014.
His birthday was on July 3.

Sorry to hear man. Such a shame that a great life gets taken by cancer. He lived a long and full life though, and that's always something to be proud of. Here's to hoping for the best for your cousin and other grandfather.

Well, that's good to hear; you're at the "halfway" point, I suppose you could say.

My grandfather result's came back and they said that he did not have cancer and its a big sign of relief for all of us. The hospital that he went to is at the Chicago university medical center.

My grandfather is doing alright now he's at home and he is 90 years old.

Yeah both of my grandfather's were 90 but one was born in July and the other in August.

Good to know, congrats (and condolences wrt your other grandfather)

(Still dealing with my own dad here... it's definitely cancer, almost certainly incurable, but we have no idea if he's got months or years left.)

My big sister managed to defeat cancer for good - she had a rapidly growing Hodgkin-lymphoma. Sure it's MUCH less fatal than melanoma malignus or pancreas cancer, but 'twas hard to track down as it didn't really produce any serious symptomys until it grew to enormous size, and the situation looked pretty grim. It was truly a miracle she was healed perfectly, especially if we take into account that the Hungarian healthcare and hospital system is a gigantic pile of stinkin' turd... :? So ye, she was unimaginibly lucky that even in such advanced state, the damn lymphoma could still be eradicated. Hope dies the last, so have a little faith!
Hopefully, in the near future, humankind shall eventually find the perfect cure for cancer. The scientists have already found out the secret of the cancer cells' immortality, so the solution may be not too far.

Thank you vaecrius.

vaecrius I would spend every last minute with your dad everyday and be as close to him cause he means the world to you plus he's the one person that taught you everything.

Always remember that.

My Aunt has stage 1 type breast cancer and she has to take radiation treatments about 23 times week and she's got only 320 more treatments to go. She's in her 65 or 70's I thank but she is a great person to be around with so I'm hoping that she will get though it alright and beat this cancer out of her.

I want to wish my aunt Good luck!
