maybe in Poland, the whole time i've lived here i've never seen anything special happen on Easter, i've seen in American movies though it's like a big event with a guy dressing up as a bunny and hiding colored eggs for children to find.

Where I live,they close department stores like Walmart on Easter.

But Dollar General is open....

You're both right, while at the same time you're both wrong. The Sunday is Easter Sunday, while Easter is the entire week beginning on Easter Sunday.
This does mean the subject of this thread is wrong as well. It should actually be "it's
holy week!"

Easter is 2 days here - Sunday and Monday. Thankfully, Tuesday is also a no-school day, so technically we got 3 days of holiday. This is good

I guess the celebrating heavily depends on your location.
I had a so called "Easter-Meal" today (traditionally easter-meal in austria/styria consists out of sausages, ham, horseradish, cheese, white- and black bread and boiled eggs) , and tomorrow, I get the presents (acculy tons of chocolate).
