This was humerous.

Though there is a lot of balance issues:

1. Atomic Breath is the only weapon worth using, the rest is underpowered and useless.

2. Not enough weapons, Godzilla has more attacks than what he currently has in this.

3. Tanks were doing too much damage, in fact they shouldn't be able to hurt him at all.

4. The mini versions of the Doom monsters also shouldn't be able to hurt him.

5. Godzilla is incredibly weak in stamina.

Although this MOD was pretty funny, it really needs it's own custom maps and monsters to be accurate to the real deal. This could be a really good multiplayer MOD if done right. Like having co-op destruction mode in custom maps, death match arenas, survival modes etc.

(intentionally cheesy language incoming)
When are going to see Destoroyah????!!!!11eleven. Just kidding.

Am I supposed to be gojira king of monsters saving the world from evil hell society? Because that's pretty rad and I'll be subscribing to your newsletter.

I noticed something off though, apparently when using the breath weapon get immediately redirected to melee or tail, so I must press "2" every time I want to attack at range. And yeah, for being the king of monsters I kinda die in two well-placed missiles, which is a bit underwhelming. Also it's a bit strange for a tank to resist about ~4 seconds of Godzilla nom-ing on it.

One thing you could do is make the mini-demons weaker but appear in groups (such as using a spawner to place like 4 mini-imps in the place of one). So they get strength in numbers while being puny little stompy material alone... and makes it a bit more showy.
And instead of the kaiju of the week you could perhaps beef the nefarious サイバーデモン(cyberdemon), make him several stories tall (which means, leave him at regular size) and be new glorious general of hell army (together with the devilish スパイダーマスターマインド(spidermastermind)). Just give them some random Japanese taunting and we are set. And then after the final fight with the spider mastermind have the cyberdemon resurrect with no explanation and evolve into a new demonic pawa leveru. That'll be enough cheese for the king of munsters.

What's exactly humorous?
1. Atomic Breath is the only weapon worth using, the rest is underpowered and useless.
The only thing needed for those attacks are different puffs and attributes, otherwise they are fine. If you managed playing with Fighter in Hexen, you shouldn't have any complains here either.
2. Not enough weapons, Godzilla has more attacks than what he currently has in this.
Not this version of Godzilla. Also, Godzilla in general has only one special attack, which is his Atomic beam, and melee abilities. The later versions added here will be able to pull of some attacks differently.
3. Tanks were doing too much damage, in fact they shouldn't be able to hurt him at all.
Its temporary as I'm going to give it its own tank shell attack and replace the inappropriate cyber demon rocket assault.
4. The mini versions of the Doom monsters also shouldn't be able to hurt him.
They are just placeholders until other Godzilla kaiju are added.
5. Godzilla is incredibly weak in stamina.
We wouldn't want him to be able to indefinitely spam his beam now do we?

Yes, but I'll have to start making a version for Zandronum for that and I'm not familiar with it at all. Maps are also going to take a while because they are incredibly difficult for me to create (even when using Doombuilder or Slade). If I have a team in the future, I can do all those things.

Thanks for your input anyway.

No need for that. I will be adding more Godzilla kaiju in this with newer updates. Maybe I can add the cyberdemon and mastermind as large special cases of enemies, but we will have to see.

Thanks for your input.

I agree with Valherran. The atomic breath is a proper Godzilla-strength attack that can total puny bad guys almost immediately. All of the other attacks are weak, too weak, by comparison. Yes, perhaps they can be used to much the same kind of effect as the Hexen fighter but Godzilla is a giant radiation-mutated lizard able to reduce multi-storey buildings to dust. The Hexen fighter isn't. I played 6 or 7 levels but I quickly realised that there was no point in using anything other than the breath weapon. Of course, if all the weapons were completely devastating, then something would have to be done to address balance issues if you wanted this to be a serious, challenging gameplay mod.

I'd also suggest that the speed could do with a tweak. I know why the speed has been set as it has but I found that it made some jumps, even in vanilla Doom2 maps, almost impossible to make.

All that being said, it was good fun to stomp around as Godzilla. :)

Thanks for the input. I will probably give the tail and stomp attack a new puff variant to make them more unique and devastating. Their real effectiveness would come with the kind of Xdeath they would do, but that would be an undertaking in itself unless someone has an easy to modify version of Brutal Doom lite available for integration.
I'd also suggest that the speed could do with a tweak. I know why the speed has been set as it has but I found that it made some jumps, even in vanilla Doom2 maps, almost impossible to make.
I was aware of that issue. For that reason, I gave Godzilla a leap move (press Q to leap).
All that being said, it was good fun to stomp around as Godzilla. :)
Thank you

Spoiler:
Seriously, though, this is inspired. Can't really add to the criticisms already raised, but what I will say is that this mod is begging for some to-scale city maps to really bring it to life.

I have heard that you make good maps. Would you happen to have any maps around for this kind of project? I would really appreciate that.

Not at the moment, sadly, and I'm kind of up to my eyeballs in projects right now. I've never really done any urban-styled maps, anyway, and I'd reckon there are other mappers out there who would do a much better job than I could.

Ok. By the way, I have just arrived at Ireland from Canada (I'm talking from Dublin airport). I notice Irish people have a funny accent, and they price their stuff really expensive (tax for your royal family)? Also, it looks like the plug in ports here are different as well.

Maybe if I get into mapping, I might make a Dublin airport map for Godzilla. Its big and the outside area is completely empty. I'll also add leprechauns as the foot soldiers trying to beat Godzilla.

Ouch! So, tell me, how has it been in Canada with Barack Obama as your president?

In America, with Barack Obama as president we are doing very bad. Though I don't really think it's his fault, after all what could he ruin with what little power he has?

Mistake number one. Word of advice, mate. Don't actually say that to anyone in Dublin unless you fancy going home feet first. For the record, I come from the part of Ireland that's still owned by the Queen. It's still nowhere near as expensive as Dublin.

Oh, and I don't have an accent. You're the one with the accent ;)
