Edge: The Game [Hatred]
Looks like a pretty cool shooter.
Just slightly grimdark, but as long as it plays well it should all be ok.
After all, it's just a video game and we're not delusional children who can't draw the line between reality and fantasy.
probably not everyone's cup of tea though
I must say though, the comment section of the trailer is absolutely hilarious.

Re: Edge: The Game
While it looks like it's coded pretty well the people making it look like they're associated with neo-nazi groups. Otherwise it seems like a way too serious clone of Postal 1.

Well the entire thing is just a big stab at the whole political correctness parade that is occurring.
Even going as far as straight-up mentioning that on the website.
(the whole 12edgy16you theme is the subtle satire of it all, and after all - it's just a shooter except the popcorn enemies are civilians and the nasty shooty guys are law enforcement)

For a moment, I thought this was about the actually really good game called EDGE by Mobigame. Which is really good. Actually really good.

And even if it wasn't, it would still look more like a piece of trash capitalizing off recent events than a well thought out, meaningful artistic statement.
I mean, I liked Postal 2 well enough, but this clearly does not have that level of self awareness or the sheer ridiculousness needed to get away with it like Postal 2 did. This game is literally Postal 2 if you stripped the fun and stupidity out of it, leaving a spiteful, hate filled husk in its place.

What's the shock value in total? 4, 662 thumbs down isn't probably enough.

So basically Nathan Explosion goes on a brütal genocide quest with the sole intent of rustling as many jimmies as possible.
EDIT: 5,230 thumbs down and counting.

The thing that saddens me most about this video is that what you just said sounds like the best idea ever and this video does that concept total disservice.Lava Grunt wrote:So basically Nathan Explosion goes on a brütal genocide quest with the sole intent of rustling as many jimmies as possible.
The world needs a Metalocalypse video game.

...If it had more color and a less edgy character, this would be postal 1 with fresh paint. and I want that, not this emo....thing (for the lack of a better term)

I was once thinking of making a spiritual successor to Kindergarten Killer.

What's that got to do with anything? Can someone be barred from making video games just because of their personal political beliefs? That seems rather exclusive in a time where inclusiveness is all the rage.Snarboo wrote:Except it's made by literal neo-nazis.
The game doesn't really look like something I'd want to play, but that doesn't mean that I don't think they should be allowed to make it.

I believe he's more saying a game made to have a political statement is going to be far less likable when made by neo-nazis, people who claim that Europeans and other white races are superior to other people, like Jewish people and black people.Eric_ wrote:What's that got to do with anything?
