I recieved an IM from a friend saying, "hey bro, I think we got jacked" and a link to this and I see a project containing everything that was going to be in the Warhammer 40,000 project I was working on. My friend also said, "not to mention Im thinking they jacked BOTH of our codes, your exp script and my location script." Now I'm not saying this is true BUT I find it very odd that all of this is what I was doing... I mean come on, EVERYTHING in the description is what I had all planed out last month... I am very upset over this... Anybody have any comments on this? (If the Creator of this Mod is reading this Please respond)

The creator (or perhaps the alleged thief) is Jallamann.... I know him from DoomRepublic.com; if what you're saying is true then I'm surprised. BTW he's a member of these forums as well. You can try contacting him about it that way. Wait and see if he responds to this post (or this exact same post that you made as a comment to the project on WIP)....

I believe I've seen the creator of that hanging around here lately. It has his name on that page, so search for him.

But I had a More in depth disscusion over MSN late october early november and have Message logs to prove it with 2 other people. I am very suspicius considering that everything in the discription in WIP is what was planned for the Warhammer Mod.

But, again, I must say I'd be surprised if Jallamann actually did that....

I never did say he did but I am suspecting... How would you feel if you came out will a great plan and then somebody comes out will the excact thing.

I know you didn't accuse him outright, but like you said you're suspecting him (obviously and understandably).

If it happened to me? I'd feel angry and upset and suspicious of everyone and etc. etc..... I totally understand what you might feel as a result of what seems to have happened, which is why I offered to help and provided information about Jalla (as we call him).

I hate it when people do stupid things like this (I'm not saying Jalla did it, yet) and ruin great effort and work put out by others. Not to mention that theft is a huge deal. I wanna get to the bottom of this almost as much as you. Believe me, even if you want me to contact Jalla about it and ask him I will.

I'm sorry if you feel angry, but the plan was to base my script on yours. If you want me to remove it, please say so, and I'll make it from scratch. I totally forgot to ask you. Sorry.
Btw: I've been thinking and working on this kind of mod for around a year and a half now. Please, don't feel like you've been ripped off.

Stolen or not, it is for this reason that I decided not to release my WAD's weapons and monsters and stuff to the public. I fear for it, so I hope my 4 beta-testers keep it secret.

Well, I hope you figure it all out and that both are pwnz0r! I love the WH40K miniatures game and Dawn of War, why shouldn't I love this mod?

Stolen or not. That depends on the person. Myself, I believe in the GPL idea, but I respect intellectual property. If they want me to wipe it out from my hard drive, I will.
Also, when I saw your thread, I never saw anything concerning a score system or the total absence of normal items. Ah well.
