[WIP/NSFW] Bar Maid Miwako v06

[RV-007]

Hello everybody, millions of post ago, I mentioned something about a graphic novel text-adventure thing for literate readers everywhere. Well, that might never happen. However, today is the day when doom shows that it is possible to follow such scenarios. Of course, there are some things missing due to my coding illiteracy, but @ least it's a start.

I can count that I am making a horrid wad.
Some may like it, some may not, one thing is for sure and it's Halloween, lol. The wad sports the typical following girl to aid the hero (sometimes, the girl saves the hero) w/ non-combatant means. The costume @ hand is just a torn dress like a damsel in distress. The sprite can be safely recolored w/o the loss of color information or even edited for different costumes. I don't want to ruin the entire details (and it's just a novelty wad [it gets boring]) so I leave this text @ that.

+Full requirements:
-ZDoom v2.6.1+
-Doom2 iwad (for dialogue script implementation)
//-Gameplay screen resolution minimum of 640+x480+

+Stuff for show-and-tell:
-The bar maid to replace the soulsphere class (miwako)
-The dialogue (gotta have those!)
-Some Shadow Warrior audio
-Some Shadow Warrior BloodType classes (now w/ BounceCount 1 [plus it drips blood decal on walls])

+Stuff yet to do:
-Need to figure out specials for dialogue lump for more capabilities
-I got some problems w/ the one character access (will sort out the differences between inventories if I can)

+Stuff currently in progress:
-Under progress in re-writing ACS dialogue scripts (boy this is a new one to me!).
-It has been decided that I will include other characters in the respective scale (this is the best excuse of a side project since I got bored of my current project progress [wtf will happen, I have yet to care, lol]).
-Yeah, there would be both image/audio (music-wise) references (in somewhat original context), but there won't be seedy stuff (doom's color range in palette is part of the obstruction).
-Prepare for anything, my friends (if anyone got some suggestions, pm me and we'll see if the gears turn).
-Once again, I apologize beforehand for any trauma that this project may induce. Thank you for your reserve.

No, that ain't chun-li. The entire sprite set shows a ponytail and one big hair ribbon. Gez is correct about the origin so that fact alone proves I am no pixel artist. As for the prostitute claim, I find that claim a bit strong, but I was trying to find a balance between two mediums regardless of the consequences.

I see that too, it's like the dress has become some kind of new underwear. I honestly don't know the purpose of that torn area. You have to ask the original authors about that.

I don't know the purpose either. The mod came out as a spontaneity when I was @ doomworld.com/idgames. Other than that, I would be like the original authors, a moron. There is a possibility that this mod might go somewhere, but it's highly unlikely.

I think you've acknowledged the pointless part enough, but (now that I've played this thing) if you don't understand leileilol's prostitute comment you probably don't quite understand how bad the other thing is.

It's a bit much to get into in a comment here,* but in the meantime: pretend your mother played video games and was willing to do the voices for this new Doom mod character she heard you were working on. If it is unreasonable to let her anywhere near the project, then you've got a problem.

If you know an idea is a bad one and no one is going to like it, then why post it? Do you hate the community?

Usually the point of posting a project is that you think others might like it and you want to share it with them. So why would you post something that you yourself don't approve of? It's like saying “Here, you can have this really crappy mod I whipped up with no effort in five minutes with mspaint because that's all I really think you deserve.” It's honestly kind of offensive in a way.

I have to agree to that. Now, if you have something that you genuinely think CAN become something good, but would like help crafting it, that's alright to share. But there's no need to inundate the community with garbage. That just wastes everyone's time, and frankly reflects poorly on everyone and everything. Don't do that to everybody.

But yeah, RV-007, please stop taking portions of other people's wads and releasing them as your own work with next to no modifications. I've noticed you've been doing this quite a lot lately, releasing tons of these "mini-mods" that are nothing more than a rehash of something that's already been done.
